About Armor Sole
Zimbabwe's Home of Safety Shoes
That Don't Look Ugly
Standard safety boots get left at the door. Guyisa safety shoes — sold exclusively by Armor Sole — get worn to the braai, the mall, the match, and back to the mine on Monday.
Why Armor Sole Exists in Zimbabwe
Anyone can sell
certified safety shoes.
Walk into any supplier in Harare or across Zimbabwe and they'll show you a CE mark. They'll quote ISO numbers. That's the minimum — the floor, not the ceiling.
We asked a different question: what if the worker actually wanted to wear them?
That question led us to Guyisa — an internationally certified safety footwear brand that put comfort and style at the heart of every shoe they make. Not as an afterthought. As the whole point.
Armor Sole is Zimbabwe's exclusive Guyisa agent. If you're looking for Guyisa safety footwear in Zimbabwe, trust Armor Sole.
"The best safety shoe is the one workers put on willingly — and forget they're wearing."
What Makes Guyisa Safety Footwear Different
Four things standard safety shoes never get right
All-Day Comfort
Your feet at 5pm feel the same as 8am
Shaped to fit properly, cushioned underneath, and ready to wear from day one — no painful first days. We've had customers tell us they forgot they were wearing safety shoes. That's the target.
Bulletproof Lightness
Kevlar midsole. The material in bulletproof vests.
Not steel. Kevlar — light, flexible, and incredibly strong. The difference between heavy, tired legs by noon and a full shift where you barely notice your feet.
Worn Beyond Work
From the factory floor to the boardroom, the construction site to the school run.
These shoes don't look like safety shoes — and that's the point. Our customers wear Guyisa to client meetings, school pickups, weekends out. One shoe. Seven days a week.
Breathes All Shift (select models)
No sweat. No odour.
Some models have a special mesh upper that lets air in and keeps heat out — so your feet stay cool and fresh the whole shift. If this matters on your job, we'll point you to the right model.
Side by Side
Guyisa vs Standard Safety Shoes
Our Mission
To prove that protection and style are not opposites. Every Zimbabwean worker deserves a safety shoe that keeps them safe without looking like it was designed in 1984 — certified, comfortable, and worn with pride beyond the worksite.
Our Vision
A Zimbabwe where buying safety shoes is not something workers dread. Where the shoe your employer requires is the shoe you'd pick yourself — because it's comfortable, looks good, and happens to be certified.
Standards & Certifications
Certified Everywhere. CE · ISO · ASTM.
Oh — and they're certified everywhere too. Style and comfort brought you here. These marks are what keep your workers protected, satisfy your company's safety requirements, and hold up in any audit, anywhere in the world.
CE Marking
CE is Europe's official safety mark. A shoe with the CE mark has been independently tested and proven safe to sell in every European country.
On the job: Your boots won't fail under impact. They won't crush your toes. They won't fall apart on site — the exact standard required in factories across Germany, France, and Italy.
Recognised by: All 27 European Union countries · International procurement officers · Global workplace safety auditors.
EN ISO 20345:2022
The international rulebook for safety footwear. Sets exactly how much force a toe cap must absorb — 200 joules, roughly a 20kg object dropped from 1 metre. Our boots meet the highest S3 classification.
On the job: Your toe stays intact when a heavy tool, brick, or part drops on it. Your sole grips on oil and water. Your shoe protects against punctures from below.
Recognised by: Every major safety regulator in Europe · Used as the benchmark for safety footwear worldwide.
ASTM F2413
America's national standard for protective footwear. Tests toe protection and top-of-foot (metatarsal) protection under controlled drop tests.
On the job: Your boots have passed the same impact and compression tests required on American construction sites, mines, and oilfields.
Recognised by: OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) USA · North American safety authorities · Global compliance teams.
UKCA Marking
The UK's own safety mark, created after Brexit. Replaces CE marking for products sold in Great Britain — same testing, separate mark.
On the job: Your boots meet the safety rules required in UK factories, sites, and warehouses — exactly the same protection European workers get.
Recognised by: UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) · UK procurement officers · Companies operating in both UK and EU.
LA Certification
An independent certification from Los Angeles Testing Laboratory, verifying the shoe meets North American safety standards for toe protection and slip resistance.
On the job: An extra layer of proof — a third-party lab in the United States has separately tested and signed off on your boots.
Recognised by: North American safety standards bodies · Importers and buyers across the Americas.
PPE Regulation
A European law (Regulation EU 2016/425) that classifies safety footwear as Category II Personal Protective Equipment — meaning the shoe must be certified by an independent, government-approved test lab before it can be sold.
On the job: Your boots aren't just marketed as 'safety shoes' — they've been legally classified as protective equipment after passing tests in an accredited lab.
Recognised by: All EU member states · Workplace health and safety inspectors · Independent certification bodies across Europe.
A+A Innovation Award
An award given at A+A — the world's biggest trade fair for workplace safety and health, held in Düsseldorf, Germany every two years. Recognises product designs that genuinely advance worker protection and comfort.
On the job: International safety experts reviewed thousands of products and judged this design worth recognising — the shoe has been ranked superior, not just sold.
Recognised by: Global occupational safety and health community · International trade fair judges · PPE manufacturers and buyers worldwide.
